Mayday, Mayday, Financial Help Needed for NTU

The very moment I reached home from work, I had my lunch and slept all the way till 10 plus. Now, I'm worried if I'll be sleepy tomorrow. With all the kids in school going "Teacher Teacher!", and myself going around the class assisting each student with their work, I'll be darn shagged.

I'm worried about how I'll be paying for my NTU Tuition Fees. With an approximate amount of SGD$6K per year, I don't think its too large like buying a house or a car, but I think the amount is enough to break the bank. hahahaha. What more with only less than $200 in my bank account, I can't even afford a semester of University studies.

As compared to what you need for overseas education, I'm glad I worked hard to get a spot in a local university. Although I might not get the same exposure as those heading to the states and my dreamy Massachusetts Institute of Technology, I'm glad I didn't kill dad with the tuition fees. :) Like they say, you can't get everything you want. You have to settle for the next best thing.

The missus helped me out by giving me the financial help options. She was helpful and kind (as usual) and pointed out two helpful options. One is the bursaries, and the other is the Post Secondary Education Account (PSAE). I hope I get the bursaries. Back in Poly, I couldn't get the bursaries as I wasn't eligible as we are middle-class Singaporeans who don't earn a lot yet, yet don't earn too little. But I was fortunate enough to get about $700+ from awards and such. Praises to Allah.

So yeah, my mode of attack will be paying for most of my fees via CPF, coupled with the mandatory Tuition Grant, PSAE and apply for countless bursaries. Hopefully that'll pull me through NTU financially. Now all I need is the grit and determination to get my honours.

And get my $8,000 a month paycheck from Creative in 5 years.
