Modern Living with Wood

When I was younger, I hated furniture made out of wood. It seemed to me, the furniture made the house look old, rustic and shabby looking. But as I grow older, I grew to like them as it makes the home cosy and because of its organic nature, it gives the house a softer touch.

There are modern furniture which caught my eye and perhaps deserve a mention. I've seen colourful cushion seats shaped like jigsaw pieces form together to make a dining table, and also seen table tops made out of glass as if its suspended in mid-air. Those are modern furniture which catches the eye and is worthy to becoming the centre piece of a home.

Modern furniture need not be made out of metal or the likes. They can be made out of wood, and for a wood lover like me, having them will marry both old school and the new.
