Moroccan Grilled Chicken for Dinner! Yummy!

Mom has been planning for her Moroccan Grilled Chicken special the past week and has been slowly stocking up the spices and ingredients needed. I'm not too sure why, but the task of acquiring the most important and crucial ingredient, the whole chickens, was given to me just about 12 hours back.

I'm no genius in literal marketing and the most crucial ingredient I ever bought was ikan bilis. Just ask the Ah Pek on duty "Ah Pek, gimme 50cents peeled Ikan Bilis hahhh," and he'll hand over the goods in a jiffy. No problem.

Chickens are more technical. The stiffness of the Chicken's comb determine the suitability for the recipe. If its soft, I'm supposed to get it. But problem was, the chickens are already wrapped and sealed in plastic bags. How to check? lolx.

So much for talking, gimme the pictures!!!

Here, you can see the Moroccan Grilled Chicken in the oven. That's a whole chicken cut into halves and laid side by side. Mom said that marinating the chicken takes about 3 hours in a ziplock bag. I was trying to catch the bubbles formed on the chicken skin, but it was kinda dark and the flash wasn't of much help as it keeps reflecting off the glass. So, yeah, here's the least I could do.

Once its done grilling, we take it out from the oven!

Mom is a fan of salads and has put together potatoes, lettuce and tomatoes for the garnishing. We recently found out that boiled potatoes, eaten with Tartar Sauce, tastes nice and has been a part of our salad servings ever since.

Look at the gravy.... Yum yum!

So there you have it, Moroccan Grilled Chicken by mom! Definitely better than KFC, Arnold's, Kenny Rogers etc etc hands down!
