Permit needed to Pitch Tent.

Do you remember Chinese New Year 2009? I remembered mine fondly because I was at the beach, looking forward to a relaxing day under the sun, when I found out that it was packed with campers! Like what the hell... Fortunately we found ourselves a small strip of real estate far far far away from the toilet. :(

Can't be blamed though cause Singapore is so small and so boring. Yes you can say that Singapore has the Zoo, Science Centre, SnowCity, Vivocity and all the other attractions. But spending a day at the beach is just one of the many things that we Singaporeans can do for free. (besides visiting the overrated Marina Barrage) Recession you know! Must save money!

I go dating also budget ley... Eat at kopitiam only.

Heeeee~

Now, due to the overcrowding, the National Parks Boards (NParks) will be introducing a new permit system. NParks said the number of campers has doubled in the past few years, hitting some 12,000 last year and to control the numbers (not to mention, making a few quick bucks!) at the beaches at Changi, East Coast, Pasir Ris, Sembawang and West Coast, campers will have to apply for a permit from mid-April onwards.

This can be done via AXS machines or at the NPark website at www.nparks.gov.sg.

"You look cute in that," I remarked before our ride home. Awwww, she never fails to make my heart skip a beat as she flapped her arms about with gusto in my over-sized jacket. And I guess she knew perfectly how to pull the strings to my heart...
