Fear.

Fear, the word always heard when one faces a tough challenge, an obstacle, or just plain phobia. Knowing what causes it, and how to overcome these fears is a good start to managing life. There is just so much that we fear that at times, we simply avoid facing it. As a result, fear stacks up, and we become timid and deprove our lives of the simple pleasures in life.
Finding comfort in the arms of your loved ones may bring temporary solace, but are we going to do that everytime we are in fear? We must learn how to get over these fears, come out stronger after finding our weakness through fear and of course face fear.
Coping with, overcoming fear and anxiety begins with realising that problems are solvable, consequences avoidable. This enables to cope with fear and anxiety.

Adults suffer fear and anxiety for two reasons. They do not know how to solve the problem; and, it never occurs to most to find out because panic causes confusion. Panic prevents rational thinking, they can not think how to, e.g., reason arguments, acceptably put a hurt right; they, e.g., forget or never find out that an offer to pay by instalments may not be lawfully refused. The problem seems unsolvable, panic becomes fear, anxiety; worry makes fear worse.

Anxiety and fear often result from failure to clearly identify the problem. That is the cause of panic, a problem's becoming worse, of the fear and anxiety.

I admire those who manage to overcome fear. I remembered I was terrified everytime there was a running activity during National Service. My heart would be fast and my blood pressure shoot up. This is simply because I think too much of the distance, and failed to recognise that I wasn't the only one doing this. We're in it together! As time passes, so does my fear. But I still despise running though. heh.

Come get over your fears. Be it your fear of heights, fear of spiders, fear of examinations, fear of running. Overcome your fears, but remember to give it the respect it deserves.
