The Taking of Pelham 123

We watched The Taking of Pelham 123 on a boring day doing nothing but bumming around at home and trying to make heads and tails of the project we're working on. Its quite a nice movie after all. Gets the job done and I don't feel cheated of my money. Trust me, any movie with John Travolta and Denzel Washington in it, has got to be worth at least $7.50.

Movie was about a group of armed men hijack a New York City subway train, holding the passengers hostage in return for a ransom, and turning an ordinary day's work for dispatcher Walter Garbe into a face-off with the mastermind behind the crime. Gee, I didn't know until yesterday that there was a movie with the exact same plot and title released in the year 1974. Cool or what?

So yeah, if you got too much money to throw around, and a lovely lady to cuddle with at the cinemas, go catch The Taking of Pelham 123.

I liked it. Denzel and Travolta played very well off one another. Gandolfini was a little too no-nonsense for me, but was strong as well. Ryan
