It was Day 4 when we took our virgin public bus ride, and on that day itself, we tried out the facial services at a men's salon. The locals call it Multani Mitti, and it is said to tighten the skin on the face, and remove any dead cells on the surface of the skin.
I have never paid for a facial session, nor have I even gotten myself anything to pamper my face. So it was a pleasant experience to have my first, in Incredible India.
The paste feels cool on the skin, and the dark brown colours on my face are the still wet parts. Once it dries up completely, one can feel the skin tightening up, and I guess if you do it frequently, it could perhaps rid you of wrinkles. The salon is for men only, and it was fortunate that the ladies did not tag along this time around.
Indians are very dedicated people who spend a lot of time working. For example, the staff in this salon live, eat, and sleep in a small room at the back of the shop. They had crossed India in search of work in Pune, and will only return when they have enough money. Just imagine 4 men, living together, spending nearly 24 hours a day in a shop, 7 days a week. I would go crazy!
The working hours and conditions are so different from what we have in Singapore, and come to think of it, I would earn more from my internship than these men. I feel so blessed, and thankful to be living in Singapore, educated, and given the opportunity to see the world. Oh my, I hope I get to learn more from my stay here in India.

Daisy,
I have no idea what it is made of, but it is a variant of soil and can be found easily in India.
:) OMG it was like a facial party la. Everyone was so excited to get a facial and can't wait for our turns! haha.
Nurus,
Glad my blog played a part in putting your worries at rest. Will continue to do so as long as i got the internet kies. :)
Everyone tried it. For Ahmad's pics, you gotta get it from him because he went much much earlier than me while I was waiting outside the shop.
Wak Yana,
Gee, I'm not sure about the ladies, but I'll get some recommendations from the ladies in the groups kies! But apparently, they are still using creams bought from SG.
I'll be on the look-out for it yea!
Mommy Zubaidah,
Ahmad and I had the same facial treatment but I kinda got seperated from Ahmad and he went in first, so no pics on him. hehe. But I bet he took some on his on cammy.
So anyways, my cats are okay at home. (i think) There are the occasional pee-ing and sleeping on my bed, but otherwise, they should be okay. :P
Abang, you look like mama in that facial mask! Nyahahahahaha...
