Great, I burnt my Power Supply Unit for the second time. Mom noticed a faint burning smell when she was using it earlier. Me, being the lazy me, told her its normal. lolx! When I got home, it just popped and the whole house smelt bad.
I burnt it first time while playing Company of Heroes and the Coolermaster 420W just blew under the strenuous load. heehee. Blame it on the uberly small casing! Don't even have enough space to take out/put in RAM!
Geez...
Fortunately, it was still under warranty. Sent it over to Ban Leong at Ubi, and I had to top up $20 to get the 460W since they don't carry the 420W anymore. :) But still, it took me a whole month to get the replacement. Meanwhile, I bought a Vantec 550W Power Supply to keep the computer humming along.
And yeap, it blew yesterday. Geez. 550W, with that humongous fan, also cannot take the load. Someone recommend me a good Power Supply Unit! I'm so tempted to upgrade my computer. Need to get a huge casing to keep it cool and happy. But then again, if its not broken, why fix it?
I don't need a computer to live... All I need is you hmmkay...
In other news, I gotta go to Sim Lim to settle the warranty issues!
