The weather hasn't been kind to riding these few days, choosing to rain heavily during the trip home and during work. But what seems to be a challenge, with a twist of fate, turns to be a blessing in disguise. Rain brings the temperature down, and with it, brings strength and comfort. Water has always been an important aspect in life, and having it around in abundance is reassuring.
Have you had that awkward moment when you offered a handshake, but instead gotten a hug? Its a very delicate social dance this one. You're not sure if you're socially intimate enough to hug when you meet. Nor are you sure you're too distant to offer a handshake? In this case, one usually goes for the safer option; the handshake. And that's not usually a nice thing cause you end up stabbing the other person in the stomach with your outstretched hand.
Yeahhh... That awkward moment indeed.
Also the other person might be left feeling embarrassed cause that said individual may have come across as being too friendly. Or cheap. Or whatever. Urgh. And all you could do is give a poker face, speechless and blur. Urgh. The person might think that I'm the worst friend ever.
Boo.
So there is this need to brainstorm: "In what social situations do we hug?"
But then again, one doesn't deserve a hug with that electric fence of secrecy all around.
