The Thing with Lactose Intolerance

Its never a pleasant thing to be rushing, to be hurried or asked to accelerate your tasks. Back at the company, there was a culture of hurrying people, pushing them to perform things faster. The key was to strike a balance. To do things fast, but safety should not be compromised. Management pushed everyone to move faster, harder, yet calls for safety was in abundance. It was all a show really. And men have died, lost limbs in this pursuit, whilst the higher echelons revel in the success their men brought upon them.

The thing with lactose intolerance is its never a stomachache. One does not equate normal bowel movements to  lactose intolerance. Its a way of life, not by choice, and not a pleasant condition to live with. Every person with the condition has a system to manage this condition. Most avoid food with lactose altogether. While the remaining few, dare to take the challenge and over time developed survival skills to aid this pursuit. Some are good with navigation, having recognised landmarks and routes to the nearest toilettes. Some developed super strong bladder control. While some depend on their connections and ensure that a toilet is always nearby.

Heh.

There should be a campaign to increase the awareness of lactose intolerance. And there should be fines and punishments given to lazy cleaners who lock up empty, working cubicles in the toilets, like those malls in Clementi.
